LAKAN – MINDANAO set in Gensan

GENERAL SANTOS CITY – To utilize local language as a way of strengthening cultural identity, closeness and spiritualism for Mindanaoans, the Lakan-Mindanao (Lihok Alang sa Katilingban Naghiniusa) was formed at the Maharlika Beach Resort here, Saturday.

The newly established organization was made through initiated efforts of Ang KaSaMa members and spiritual practitioners of the Fourth State locally based in the city. Led by Ang KaSaMa (Ang Katipunan ng mga Samahang Maharlika), Lakan-Mindanao has geared for the strengthening of the foundation by exercising the spiritual pro-active and neo humanism system. This aims a universally-oriented but locally relevant educational practice that shall encourage the preservation and protection of cardinal human values specifically on culture, sex, social status and creed. 

Ang KaSaMa spoke person said through the active participation of press people who have had been for years practicing spiritual meditation, this endeavor will gear up not only to develop local democratic movement but likewise to vanguard evaluate and counter check the performance of government officials. This group will also serve as watchdogs for the preservation of natural resources.

Progressive Socialism not only focuses on the vital function of a well-balanced economy but likewise to Women’s Rights. It is vitally engaged in encouraging women to put up a united struggle against all kinds of violence and exploitation. The Ang KaSaMa, a confederation of “Maharlika Society” has been established in the Philippines since 2000. It holds the history of continuous spiritual inspiration amidst victories and failures which stood as acrid challenge to its capacity. Solidly represented by peaceful vegetarian and spiritual meditation (Yoga) practitioners, the organization believes that deep spiritual practice brings forth limitless potential which features the “force that could move mountains.”

They said it is the collective spiritual energy that provides the strongest bond among the constituency of group members with firm dedication and concrete determination. They said these could be materialized with the combination of a strong urge to serve others, and a sense of sacrificing most of material needs. “That will imperatively empower mental strength and the will to live.”
