Social and humanistic individuals

The Ang Katipunan ng mga Samahang Maharlika (Ang KaSaMa), a confederation of socio-cultural associations in the Philippines, is happy and proud to have joined Fr. Robert Reyes’ campaign for genuine change in the country.

We believed that spiritual practices such as prayers, reflection and meditation, when pursued with sincerity and dedication, will help transform people from social beings to social and humanistic individuals.

This individual transformation is the core of the society’s spirit. Without individual transformation from materialism to humanism, and without change from self-orientation, our society will continue to be rocked by corruption, infighting and moral degradation.

We hope that more moralists will respond to father Robert Reyes’ campaign. What we need is not only change in social leadership and government form. What our country needs is more basic and long-lasting. We need social change that starts from individual transformation. Without individual transformation, there can be no meaningful change.
